Building the best gaming pc for a sub £800 budget

I have recently decided to build a gaming PC, as i feel that my current PC just doesn't quite cut it. I have attached a list of the hardware i will buy and build my PC from, however if you have any suggestions at all on how i could improve (or an entirely new system) it would be greatly appreciated and you have my thanks in advance.

My budget is £800, however i can push this slightly, (820, maybe 830)

Here is my suggested setup

Just a notice, I live in the UK and will have parts shipped through the UK version of amazon, I have noticed that other countries (mainly America), will not ship to the UK through amazon.

Hardware

CPU - Intel I5 4670k

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00CO8TBOW/ref=ox_sc_act_title_10?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Graphics card - Nvidia GeForce Gtx 760 Superclocked

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00DMB6D8W/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Motherboard - ATX MSI Z97

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00K8KJ6Y8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_6?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

SSD - HyperX 120GB SATA3For OS and quick access to games? (I've been advised to buy an SSD as to hold the OS, any extra advice on this would be appreciated)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007R67FNA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Hardrive - 1TB WD

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0088PUEPK/ref=ox_sc_act_title_7?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

Power Supply - Corsair Fully Modular Gold 650W

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FG9FWF8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

DVD Drive - Asus (this is not important, just need at least one)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BZF31UU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_9?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE

RAM - Corsair Vengace 8GB (2X4GB)

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9-Vengeance-Performance-Desktop/dp/B004CRSM4I/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1403644471&sr=1-1&keywords=8gb+ram

CASE - I have not currently found a case

If there is any suggestions for big enough, good looking cases I will be ever grateful

OS - Windows 7 Home premium  (Unless their is a foreseeable advantage to having windows 8)

Get an r9 280x instead of the 760--but you should really try for an r9 290 if you can.

i5-4690k instead of 4670k.

Arc midi 2, Corsair 200/300R, Corsair 450D, Cooler Master HAF912, NZXT source 210

And yes, definitely get an ssd.

Lastly, I have that exact PSU, and my only complaint is that the 24-pin ATX cable is tight.

Eh, it's not bad, but I would personally spend a bit less on stuff like the CPU, Motherboard and PSU and spend a bit more on the GPU. Maybe get something like an FX 8320 or 8350.

Definitely shoot for a 770 even if it means adding an SSD a few month down the road

Are you limited to Amazon or are you open to other UK shops?

Are you planning to sli?

Windows 8.1 is better than 7--there are just people that don't like the new UI.

Go for the Superflower Golden green psu, or if you want modular then the Leadex. I would also swap the Ram for some low profile stuff, so that it doesn't restrict your choice of cooler.

How do you get windows 8 professional at such a low price? and would this set up allow for max graphic gaming on games such as far cry 3, skyrim etc at a 1920x1080 res?

I can go through other shops but if delivery charges become too much it may become an issue

That's just a key though?, how do i get from that key to an operating system?

download windows 8.1 professional iso from microsofts website, then get it in an USB and install.

That looks good, however I want to go big on this build and get the best I can for £800, do you think the set up would work if i moved to it, i5 4690k, added a CPU cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler), upped the Video card to a MSI Radeon R9 290 4GB TWIN FROZR Video Card. Or would these changes make little to no difference?

That's fine. You'd need a zX7 motherboard to oc: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-motherboard-gaz97md3h

The Tri-X is cheaper and better: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/sapphire-video-card-1003622sr
