Hi! I am helping my bro to build a budget pc, because right now he's using a really old iMac with Windows XP, and a Xbox 360. He will not be buying a screen and he will be buying Windows 8.1 so that's not included in the price.

So is this build good or can he get something much better for the price? (Btw he does not want to spend anything more on the pc than he already is)

These ain't bad , and they have good gpus

The intel one has better single threaded performance and will go well with something like skyrim .

The amd one has overall more bang for buck , and has better gpu

If i don't remember wrong Watch Dogs require 4 cores, and the i3 only got 2, so it might not work with the next gen games coming out, right?

the intel has 2 core but it got Hypertreading

so it will work like a virtual 4 core

but yes physical core are better than virtual but the Intel will be better in this case

It'll be just fine , it has hyperthreading

Nope

Ok so i should go with the intel alternative instead of my parts list?
