Difference between nos. in processors

Go to solution Solved by Askew,

Hyperthreading, cache and die size.

Both are Intel's 'Haswell' architecture, the 4770K is a quad core i7 with hyperthreading enabled, and the 4690K is a quad core i5 from the latest revision (22nm) of the 'Haswell' architecture called 'Devil's Canyon' and this CPU has hyperthreading disabled.

The 4790K is the Devil's Canyon equivalent to the 4770K, both are quad core i7 processors with Hyperthreading enabled.

The i7 has 2MB more cache than the i5 in addition to having hyperthreading enabled.

What is hyperthreading?
