My new radiator arrived. As if I needed more.

I added the 3 pics to the main album. The 3rd picture just about sums it up.

​I am hoping on passively cooling this PC when its just idling. That would be my goal. Will have to see how it goes. Maybe just 1 140mm intake fan on low RPM just to keep air moving in about the right direction. For this to work I just need to get my GPU cooled.

For those for those of you interested in my GPU not-being-watercooled scenario. I am waiting for the HD8950/70 and will watercool it right from the start. My current GPU does not have a reference PCB due to me not doing my homework enough and XFX making it very hard to do my homework right.

I have just started the huge task of sleeving all my cables. I have been planning to do this for months now but never had enough time, or to be honest; effort. I have a AX760i PSU waiting for the build I am planning to do next week which will be a colossal upgrade of my CPU and GPU.

I am now seriously considering swapping my XFX 7950 for an MSI 7950 with a reference PCB so I can water cool it.

Exactly what I am thinking. This would be the completion of my build from the power point of view. Of course I will be adding to it constantly but it would be the final big expense for a while.

I ordered a MSI HD 7970 OC Edition card for my build. I knwo for a fact it has a refrence PCB so the blower style cooler is something that will just make the price better compared to other cards.

I can't wait to get the card overclocked and see its performance.

I have updated my build blog. There I talk about the coil whine on my 7970, and the suspected reason behind it.

I have also recently ordered a D5 Vario pump for my system.

ghost, i'm currently going to play with the CVFZ and 8350.. but i had someone mention that

maniac overclocks 4.8+ watch the VRM cooling. I noticed your 140 rear exhaust rad sits

on top of the VRM, blocking flow.. had you noticed any VRM wild temperatures?
