mw3 and ghosts

 so after a long while my old  (i am from Greece) router died... we got a new one. I got a new one from them and this 1 blows. I download slower and it goes faster and slower when it pleases.... anyway the biggest problem is that I cant play cod ghost and mw3 online because im connecting to online services. I tried the following:reinstalling the game. verifying the game cache. installing it again after a format and a port forward which let me play for a while. so what do I do now? how do i fix it? i was thinking of buying this router http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TD-W8970 but my computer does not accept wireless internet (idk how to enable wi fi) and i prefer cable solution. thank you for reading

Just as something obvious to try, go to router settings, turn uPnP on.

Forward the ports for call of duyt (can be found online)

Check if there's an speed option in your router.
