I have been in the market to build a new gaming pc, and after seeing the latest build guide I have decided to do 4K.

Planned build:

SSDs RAID0 (2) Samsung 840 EVO Series 250GB SATA 6.0G

Video (2 in SLI) EVGA NVIDIA GeForce 780Ti 3GB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 Superclocked with EVGA ACX Cooler

Case Corsair Carbide Series Air 540 High Airflow White

Liquiid Cooling Corsair Hydro Series H110 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

CPU Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4 GHz LGA 2011

Memory Corsair Dominator Platinum Series 16GB(4 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 MHz C9 Memory

MB ASUS X79-DELUXE LGA 2011 Intel ATX Motherboard

PSU Corsair HX Series HX850 850 Watt ATX 12V Modular Power Supply

Monitor ASUS PB287Q 28" True 4K UHD Monitor

2ndary Monitor ASUS VE247H 23.6" Widescreen LED Monitor

(I buy from Microcenter since it is literally around the corner from me) Michigan

And switching out all the fans for Noctua.

I was curious if 2 EVGA 780 6gb cards in SLI would be better for the 4K gaming? Would it make a huge difference?

I have $5,000 usd to spend, and I want to get every dime worth out of it. (Or is there something even better coming out in the next month.. I could wait two months if it was REALLY worth it.)

For gaming! Upgrading from an old 560ti that glitches out daily. I need a new pc asap!

Games I play: DoTA 2/Titanfall/Diablo3/SC2/HoTS/Tons of Steam indy games.

The 4930k is overkill for gaming but if u have money to spend and dont care about it get it lol also the 6gb vram is going to help alot when we see games with 4k textures but honestly i kinda think u should wait for the 800 series there is the chance it could be a dud generation but theres also a chance its going to be incredible there is rumours of 8gb versions of the 800 series which is going to be awesome but its really up to you the 780 6gb should be sufficient for a bit but i think if u want the most out of your money wait for 800 series.
