Windows Explorer Favourite links

I hope this is the right place for this. Every once in awhile a windows update will chop off a few of the bottom links in my list of favourites in the left pane, replacing them with the default windows links. Does this happen to anyone else? Anyone know of a fix? I use the favourites menu heavily and its annoying to keep resetting them with my links after an update.

Usually at least 3 or 4 folder links get removed/replaced.
