780 Lightning worth it?

Is it worth getting the MSI 780 Lightning over the MSI Twin Frozy IV? It costs $40 more for the lightning edition, and I will be overclocking. I won't be using a custom bios because with my luck I would brick the card. Opinions on premium cards? It is still a LOT less expensive than 780 ti so I can't really make the $150 jump at the moment. Would it yield lower temps and higher clocks with stock bios? I would be getting MSI Afterburner but that's about it for GPU tweaking.

go for it

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

i have 2... probably getting a third soon. Long story short... Yes it is worth it since your overclocking.

the tri fan design from MSI are very good and run the coolest

depends where you want temps to hit, i was always able to keep it pretty quiet  with a good oc aiming for about 80 degrees or so from what i remember, ive since gone to liquid since im running multiple cards.
