FPS drops on CS:GO with a 760

So, I've recently changed back to my old motherboard because of production failure, and my CS:GO seemed to work fine for a couple of days until last Thursday, I have these hiccups or drawbacks (not network related).

My fps is bouncing from about 40 to 150 and If i'm lucky its up to 200 fps, but I do still have these hiccups. So what I've done is trying the recommended actions by Steam; Re-install steam, CS:GO and verified the game.

So, my temps are evenly laying on about 40 degrees in the case (CPU and GPU) and the the GPU isn't working that much, calmly working at about 20 to 30% and all my settings are turned to bottom (low with V-sync off)

Do anyone have any tips to what I can do here?

 

I've also ran a couple scans with my AVG ( fresh install last week) and I've had about 60 "hidden threats"

Aswell as I've seen that my motherboard is only detecting 8Gb og my ram (12 installed)

It's pretty wierd though, that its only CS:GO that's acting wierd, my 760 handles Arma 3 and such games quite nicely as usual.

Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 v.2

I7 950

Gigabyte 760 2gb (Driver version is 337.88)

12 gb of Corsair ram (only 8 noticed for some reason)

Cs:go is crap. It's not your gpu's fault. I would look for solution on steam forums.

it's the game not your GPU, it's baddly optimized so look for a patch or a fixe or soemthing

CS:GO doesn't work well on any system. However, one thing I found that helps a lot is if you go into the video settings, and set your display to "Fullscreen Windowed."  This will help reduce frame drops.

Did what you mentioned and the lag went away, but when I restart the game it comes back. So basicly when I change between fullscreen, windowed full and windowed the lag disappears.

Except that the OP's computer is not much different than mine. Both have older i7's and his 760 is only slightly behind my 670.

Eh. I found that performance isn't very consistent on CS:GO.
