780 Clock speed stuck at half

My 780 can typically get to 1215MHz without troubles but as of today its been stuck at 575MHz as the highest and it will go down to 324MHz when idle. What is causes the card to be basically poo?

Upgrade Plan: Acquire some Black Noctuas then add 16 or 32GB of 2133MHz memory

well the 324mhz idle are fine but load 575 sucks. I'd say reinstall drivers completely.

Is this when gaming ?

575MHz in game and 324MHz when idle.

Reboot. If it doesn't fix it, use msi afterburner to manually turn up the clock and see what happens, particularly with the temps. If the temps go too high the cooler is broken and you should rma.

Ive had the same issue with my 780ti. A reboot for me fixes it

that's an odd bug but I guess as long as there is a fix then Its not horrible.

Yeh. Its only happened to me once or twice in several months so yeh its not too bad as long as you keep an eye on your mhz. Although i feel sorry for the poor bugger that doesnt have Afterburner or someother tool open and doesnt know whats wrong:P
