Prices...how can these make any sense?

I know prices are higher in Europe,but this doesn't make much sense.

 

These prices are taken from amazon.com and the biggest online shop in Romania.

Canon 650D : $700 vs $710  -> I'm amazed it's only that much more expensive.Finally!!!But then my dreams were ruined as I went to check the 700D...

Canon 700D : $750 vs $1100

(Both body with kit lenses)

 

Uh...

What?

So...a $50 difference in the US translated to a $400 difference here?And the smallest number barely even changed?Woah.

Pricing makes "total sense",even more so considering they are pretty much the same cameras!

 

I understood the ridiculous high prices like the 700D's of almost all products, but this...

You have to take into consideration the state of the Euro and how much shit the EU is in, regarding their scale of economy.
