HD 7770 crossfire

I have a HD 7770 gpu, and i want to crossfire it, but i cant decide whenether to take R7 250x or another 7770. Since R7 250x is a 7770 refresh their performance should be the same, but R7 250x has newer version of DX and openGL, wich should take a small advantge over the 7770. So the question is 7770 or R7 250x?

Take the cheapest, crossfire is always limited by the slowest card of the 2 so you won't be able to use the newer DX and openGL from the R7 because the 7770 won't like that.

7770 crossfire is decent performance wise, you will be limited by 1GB Vram though.

Then make do with a single 7770. If you buy a second one you will still want to upgrade soon and at that point you will have spent more money and be stuck with not one, but two cards you don't want.

My cpu is i5-4670k and my mobo is asus maximus gene VI, i have no idea about psu(550w) name but i have it since my lga 775 pc but i have no problems with it.

im not planing an upgrade for next 3-5 years.

PSU needs changing before you go crossfire.

i realy dont care that my psu is crap if it is capable to run another gpu in crossfire then im good with it.

Well its not worth to buy a new psu for a 7770 crossfire, so im gonna stick with just one 7770.

had a 7770, the other guys are right you're better off buying an msi 270 which is effectively 2x7770 and selling the 7770 to pay for it, atleast then youll get a few newer features and maybe a few games too.

dont worry about your psu too much, while no-name is bad im running an oc 8 core and 7850 and a but ton of hard drives with everything overclocked and i draw 380watts on full load(mostly cpu), when i had a my 7770 is consumed F*** all power, its like 80 watts...

Im not sure that some one would like to buy a 7770.
