Planning a new Build

Is it a good idea to go with the I7 4790K, 16gb of 2400mhz memory, Asus VII gene, one GTX 780 3gb or GTX 780 6gb later the second, custom watercool loop, one 1080p and 1440p or one 1080p and 4k monitors in corsair 350d with window psu AX860i.

 

My PC build today is:

  • CPU-I5 4670k OC to 4.2 at 1.165votts
  • Motherboard-Asus Maximus VI gene
  • RAM-Corsair 8gb 1600mhz
  • GPU-EVGA GTX 770 2gb
  • Case-Corsair 350D without window
  • Storage-Corsair 120gb and External 1tb HDD
  • PSU-Corsair TX650M
  • Display(s)-Dell 1440x900
  • Cooling-Corsair H100i
  • Keyboard-Dell
  • Mouse-Razer Naga 2012

I see loads of useless upgrades there. Your motherboard, CPU, RAM and motherboard are fine. Why not just wait for the next gen of GPUs and upgrade to that? Maybe get a new monitor. Your GTX 770 should do fine until then.

Also , 2400 Mhz is overkill
