I just don't get what the point about them is. Especially as only one of them doesn't kook like this: 24wvtk3.jpg and so that makes me wonder... are one supposed to attach a connector? Because that seems a bit cumbersome, but then, what's it for? Decoration?

I think that mobo is cheaper version on same product line. So same PCB is used over whole range of mobos, like Asus Z87-A/K/C/etc.

 

SYSFAN, AUXFAN etc is commonly known as case fan. I think there's no need to explain what those are and why you'd want to control them with mobo.
