Right so before you say "do it from your bios"... My BIOS does not allow overclocking at all. completely locked down. I have tried ClockGen, and none of the PPL's worked.
Basically, i want to do a minor overclock, just to see how well it handles overclocking, and how much performance-to-Mhz i get.
I was going to go up by 600 MHz.
I am currently using an Intel core two quad Q6600 and would like some basic, simple, and free overclocking software.

As far as i know, it is not.

It has a cooler master case, and i have also replaced the CPU myself. A good long month ago though

I wouldn't do any third party software for overclocking you'd be vetter off buying a new motherboard that one looks a little out dated and probably doesn't have any heatsiks

It has heatsinks. But that's not the point. I once OC'd a Pentium D 50% and got it to be stable with ClockGen. I am doing this for benchmarks.

I already started building my new PC.

I already have my Asus M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Mobo, and im waiting for my FX-8350 to arrive in the mail.

Right now i am just testing around. I don't plan on leaving this 600 MHz OC for Very long.
