Hey there LTT community! It's your friendly neighborhood Cooler Master rep again here to provide you all kinds of thorough information about our customer and technical support services! Us at the US office recently updated our RMA and registration system to something 100x more user friendly, so I wanted to get this complete post out to you folks in the spirit of that!

What can you tell me about CM's customer support though, how does it compare to EVGA's?

 

Also when is the V4 GTS going to be available for purchase in the US? I haven't been able to find it.

Well i've only had to deal with CM's customer support once.

 

When my CM 690III arrived it was missing the rubber grommets for the cable management holes, I emailed CM, got a reply the next day saying they would contact the local wholesaler and get them to send them out.

 

A week later, the grommets were in my mailbox. :D

Our support isn't terribly different from EVGA's. We have free live help, ticket support, and warranties cover parts and RMA replacements. :)

 

And the V4 GTS doesn't have any plans for release in the US, sorry.

You're the only person I've seen ask for it. Most people who want the engine styling are happy to go with the V8 GTS, or already have the V8 or V6 GT from the earlier generation.

 

If you want it for performance reasons, the Hyper 212 EVO actually seems to do better in performance from the testing I've seen.

Well I have the old V8, but this would be for the the rig that I'm going to throw an anniversary Pentium in. I was thinking about getting the 212 but since they are used so often I wanted to get something different without spending too much. How is it that the 212 performs better than the V4?

It just... does? I haven't done any real testing here, since we're not carrying it here, but from what I heard from the product team, it's because the performance wasn't beating the Hyper 212 EVO, but it would have had to have been too expensive despite the performance, so it's not coming here. I could also be entirely wrong, since it's just a little bit of grapevine talk I've heard a while back.
