Does it get better than this ? ( Console killer part list )

Si3Rra_7

It comes to preference , a hdd instead of ssd , maybe a optical drive . But this must be one of the best huh ?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/khrcRB

Too expensive and you still need a copy of windows 8

This is what I would do (includes cheap windows license off G2A for like $30)

Optical Drive:  Lite-On iHAS124-14 DVD/CD Writer  ($14.99 @ Newegg)
Other: Windows 8 From G2a ($25.72)

Your build looks pretty solid but wouldn't you prefer to get a hard drive instead first before getting an 120GB ssd? (Your choice) that is unless you already had a plan on getting in the coming months.

I dont think piracy should come in to a competitive build, I can steal a PS4, so now your pc is $600 more... its silly but you should include all parts and software

There were some compromises, but you cannot really compete with $350-$400 consoles with something MORE than $600,

4GB is a little how but could easily be upgraded, for mid spec gaming it should be absolutely fine. Yeah You have more CPU power but it wont make much difference in gaming, whats wrong with a 270? its a great value card, it walks all over the 750ti

74 vs 46 fps in skyrim, 32 vs 22 fps in bf4 http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2014/02/18/nvidia-geforce-gtx-750-ti-review/8

I changed mine since you quoted it to get down to $420

True , you can't argue with the pure value/performance of the 750k , and mobos are cheaper , but i like dem 4.6 pentiums tho , and it won't be good in single threaded games , like skyrim or planetside 2

Me too hence my 780ti, but nvidia cards DO cost more, and are difficult to justify in a super budget build in my opinion

I still think the builds for a console killer should be as close priced to a console as possible. That is the point :P We all know PCS are better, the point is proving they beat a console for same money not more

But even $400 PC does much more than a console. Especially since we're not allowed to watch content from flash drives, eh, Sony?

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Dunno why you obsessed with OCing, it wont effect game performance much, at least for 90% of games running at medium/high 1080p

Here is what mine would look like:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/tj984D

8 core cuz 2 core iz 2 bad.

Very close to the price of a console (xbox one)

:)

Weird build, not sure that 8core is needed at all haha, also the 750ti is not really a console killer IMO

Yeah I just think its outside the scope of a console build, as you probably wont get console converts overclocking and doing other such things

also 85 degrees so putting it in an itx enclosure to make it small youll definately need a better cooling solution

But this is all just my opinion
