A little help

Do you guys think I should get more RAM or upgrade my video card first?

I'm running integrated graphics right now so out of my 4gb only 3.5gb is usable. Now 4GB is plenty for the games I play and right now the real weak point in my Rig is the Graphics card. I know the CPU is as well but for the CPU I want to upgrade to I need a graphics card since it doesn't have integrated graphics. So what do you guys think I should do? If I get the video card it will let me use the full 4gb of RAM which will help performance in most games alone then throwing the better graphics card on as well will help but Then again if I upgrade to 8GB of ram I can dedicate 1gb towards the integrated graphics thus "upgrading" them and making them perform better. I'm confused as to what I should do.

Ok so funds came in today I was wondering why there is a reccomended amount of RAM for a Video card. When looking up the ones I want they both say "reccomended RAM 8gb"  does anyone know why this is? And should I upgrade my RAM first then since I only have 4gb?

R7 250 is entry level territory. R7 260x will net you a huge advantage and price to performance, they are both great, so you aren't paying a premium for the card.

Concerning the RAM issue, disregard it fully and happy gaming.

i3-4170, H81 board, 8GB DDR3, Crucial M4, GTX 770, Xigmatek Vangaurd Case, Creative Titanium X-fi, Razer Carcharias, 500w PSU, 24" VA panel and a 42" IPS. Thinking about getting a plant.

I don't have enough for 260X can I go with the XFX core R7 260?

For sure. R7 260 great as well. Once you drop to an R7 250, you're taking quite the performance hit.

here's a review with the R7 260 and R7 250 in it ...

I'm not sure if it's a typo but on Newegg they had an XFX core R7 260x for 110 so I got that

That's the ticket. It's not a typo. AMD own the price to performance crown at pretty much all performance tiers. When AMD gpu mining was big, Nvidia was the way to go, but since that has died down, it's back to biz as usual.

Post some benchmarks when you get the card!
