HDD corruption ?

Ok so just a quick Q, i just bought a wd black desktop HDD, and my origional HDD had a bump and isnt bootable but is most likely still readable for files and such it has drivers os and every thing all i want is to hook it up copy important stuff over wipe the old drive then run it in raid 0 can i do this without the other drivers and files corrupting my WD black ? :blink:

if the drive is not bootable there is a high possibility its not readable anymore. :)

well i just wanna know is if 2 drives would work if both have drivers and os or would one corrupt the other.

It won't corrupt the other drive or harm it but the RAID array you will try to build will fail and ruin the RAID array due to corruption. It would be like using two pieces of paper taped together to build a poster (small one) and one piece of paper was wet and semi torn, you tape them together and try to make your poster. When you write on the good one the text is there but when you write on the bad paper section it tears and falls apart. Is the poster readable? Probably not.
