I have a very odd issue. I am getting the problem on windows 7, elementary os luna, and ubuntu 14.04 as well as in chrome, firefox, and opera. Most videos just wont play. Very few videos work fine. It is about 14/15 that wont play at all. This is what I get and it just keeps going for ever.

Any ideas. I have cleared cookies and cache. I have restarted both computers and all browsers. If a video is embedded on a site it wont play either. Thanks for the help in advance, Jake.

then i have no idea. i never run into problems like this, regardless of my OS or computer

I know. One is a windows desktop. The other is a laptop dualbooting 2 versions of linux. This is very odd. And it works on some videos just not most.

Were you already using html5? Because I found that it broke YouTube for me.

It worked for a while and now it isn't and it doesn't give the the option to revert.

probably ISP throttling or re-routing to black hole.

or use Youtube Center to switch back to Flash.
