so im thinking of upgrading to and SSD in my Lenovo y580 laptop and i have a few questions.

 

1.which (128GB) ssd should i buy?

 

2. should i use it as cache for my 1tb HDD which has my os and everything on it

 

3. should i replace my blu-ray drive and use it as an external?

if yes please also recommend any external case for the blu-ray drive

get a samsung 840 pro. and use it as a whole drive and get a 60gb later and use it as cache

The 840 pro is a great option, as well as the OCZ vertex 4. If you are thinking of taking the blu ray drive out, and putting the ssd where it was, that could be a good option. However, you should probably set it up as the ssd for boot drive/applications and the 1tb for data/pictures/movies.
