And...

Z87 SABERTOOTH vs z97 SABERTOOTH

and what's your opinion on the ASUS z97 SABERTOOTH

4790K and Z97 sabertooth as both are newer and the 4790K comes stock at 4GHz if its not much more go for those.

It's not a bad board but I would personally get a cheaper one

It's a very good board most people choose the sabertooth line for looks rather than features though it's good for clean builds.

Z97 + 4790k

 

That would give you a higher overclock and better performance.

 

For gaming - no difference, but I'd go with a Z97 (For future upgrades) + 4770k

 

But if you can afford it get Z97 + 4790k

Heyalp? Nice thread title...I almost ignored this thread because of how stupid that is. I'm sure most people already did.

 

I think it's a Z97 board of the Sabertooth kind. What else is there to say? Not a bad board or anything.

Ok so I almost had my mind set on the ASUS z97 SABERTOOTH but someone told me that there are gigabite motherboards that are cheaper and better. So if there is one like what I described what one should I get?

please refrain from creating multiple topics on the same subject. you will get

conflicting suggestions on the same question(s). state a budget, your needs

for the PC and location and let the forum help you without a lot of back-n-forth

on the same question that might have been answered already.

 

the newest models of motherboards all have the same "performance values"

what is different is connectivity, color scheme and price. but beware the

cheapest doesn't always fit the needs, but fits the budget and then you're

stuck with a bad choice.
