?Help! :) Is this system going to work ok?

Go to solution Solved by Goodmane,

There will be enough 8 pin connector coming with your PSU or there will be an option for it.

And I would suggest looking into other websites if you are going to order online. I found same PSU for 10 pounds cheaper then that website :P

You might not be able to copy your working operating system to SDD, it will require you to copy both partitions of windows boot partition and OS installation partition. It would be much more easier and faster just to do a clean install.

This PSU looks better if I have to be honest. And price is same. And it has modular 8 pin PCI outputs.

Hello there, so I hear this place is full of awesome people and call up on you in my time of need - lol

So I would like to upgrade certain components in my PC and was wondering whether or not the ones I want are compatible.Thank you for any help!!!!!!! x1000

Current:

Motherboard - MSI B75MA-P45

Product page - http://uk.msi.com/product/mb/B75MAP45.html

Case - Advant Case as shown in video (Doesn't really have name - sorry)

Product page - Skip to 8:14 - All credit of the video goes to Cheesy Gaming Muffins

I measured enough space for a 29cm/290mm card

RAM - 12GB Integral @ 666.7 MHz (DDR3 Dual Channel)

Product page - http://www.integralmemory.com/product/ddr3-desktop-memory-modules

CPU - Intel Core i7 3770 Quad Core @3.4GHz (1155 socket - Ivy Bridge)

Product page - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-3-4GHz-Processor-Cache-Speed/dp/B007RMH1WY

Hard Drive - Seagate 2TB 7200rpm

Product page - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Seagate-Barracuda-inch-Internal-Drive/dp/B006H32Q3S

Graphics Card - 2GB NVidia GT 630 @810 MHz (i think)

Product page - http://www.geforce.co.uk/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt-630/specifications

PSU - 530 Watts

Product page - No idea sorry

Optical Drive - Yes (Top bay)

What I want to do:

I want to add an SSD and move/ restore (doesn't bother me) to the SSD from the current hard drive, new graphics card and a new power supply to accomate the new graphics card.

Upgrade components:

Graphics Card - EVGA NVidia 770 GTX 2GB

Product page - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/graphics-cards/graphics-cards/evga-geforce-gtx-770-pci-e-graphics-card-2-gb-21457172-pdt.html

PSU - Corsair CX750 ATX

Product page - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/other-components/power-supplies/corsair-cx750-atx-psu-750-w-21891338-pdt.html

SSD - Samsung MZ-7PD256BW 840 Pro

Product page - http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/components-upgrades/internal-hard-drives/solid-state-drives/samsung-mz-7pd256bw-840-pro-2-5-sata-iii-ssd-256-gb-20333766-pdt.html

In the future I would also like to change the case (lol, you don't say) to something like a Corsair 650D (like mid tower but ATX) and would love as many as possible dust filters and room for a RAD up top. Then change the motherboard and CPU to whatever is the latest in the future and upgrade the RAM.

Any help would be much appreciated! :)

Quick question - Is there also a four pin to 8 pin adapter for the for the graphics card? Will there be one in the box / or do I need to buy one?

Template Answer :3

Compatible - Yes/No

Advice:

Blah blah blah :*:

Looks fine to me, my post above i edited as i mentioned your motherboard is a socket 775 P45 mobo LOL.

Seems fine anyway, and you certainly do not need anywhere near 750 watts for a GTX 770.
