Ok guys here's what's going on , in August i start college to train to become a fully qualified Web Designer & Developer. My current rig is ok but i use a i5 3570 k and i think i could get more use out of hyperthreading with an i7. I get my student loan in on the first couple of week's of college and i will have a bit of cash to afford some decent gear but nothing too crazy you know, consumer grade is fine. I'm using a Nvidia direct cuII 680 OC , and it will have to be another Nvidia card due to CUDA working with most Adobe products. The real question is, I need an opinion on getting a good I7 cpu and nvidia card, should i wait for the 800 series Nvidia or just go for a 780ti , also should i pick up a macbook pro or just go full desktop for a mac as the prices for macs are about the same for there laptop range and there desktop range at starting prices.

1. Don't get a mac. You're already using PC so don't go anywhere.

2. It really depends on what your budget is. If you're doing CUDA work I would recommend getting a titan of some sort (Normal, Black or Z even) You could wait for the 800 series but that's a decent 6+ months away at least.

3. Keep your CPU unless you feel the overwhelming need to get a better one. Instead spend that money on a better workspace. Something that is really important when you're developing. Go and get some new monitors or buy some more the one(s) you have for a multi-monitor setup. Maybe even spend some cash on a new chair and desk.

CPU- 4690k @4.5ghz / 1.3v    Mobo- Asus Maximus VI Gene   RAM- 12GB GSkill Assorted 1600mhz   GPU- ASUS GTX 760 DCUII-OC

Storage- 1TB 7200rpm WD Blue + Kingston SSDNow 240GB   PSU- Silverstone Strider ST75F-P

The Titan black Sounds like a good idea though, the z is too much :(  and it would take too long i suppose waiting for the 800 series. I suppose if i never got a mac i could save a decent amount of cash and go for multi monitors and a new cpu. I like my i5 but hyperthreading does come in useful when rendering images in photoshop ect and even if it doesn't look like im saving much time it still counts in the long run.  Thanks for the help though much appreciated.
