Long time watcher, thought you might be interested in

a project I am working on. Making a custom eink watch from the ground up 🙂 Please let me know what you think.

USB rechargable, curved eink display. 400mAh battery, (get about a weeks use), Bluetooth, microphone, 9 axis IMU built on the nrf52840 and programable in arduino or zephyr. Oh and a sleek titanium housing (still designing and prototyping this).

Wow!!! That's really cool!

What kind of software do you plan on running on it? Did you hear that Google open-sourced PebbleOS about a year ago?- maybe that would be interesting to you?

Refresh time?
Also, does it support partial display refreshes, or does it have to refresh the whole screen every minute?

About 2 seconds for a full refresh. It does also support partial display updates, but I avoid those at the moment for longevity. Am using this display from a different distributor https://www.waveshare.com/2.9inch-e-paper-d.htm?srsltid=AfmBOoqPutBiqntYBM50kE5-2jqadF7Yivk6QZksFgD3Z55zvCMsiw8_
