Budget (including currency): 8500sek

Country: Sweden

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mainly esport titles like overwatch and cs2 but also story games.

Right now I have a rtx 3060 12gb which is a decent card, however it does struggle in story games and you can't enjoy them to their fullest potential due to very low graphics and some times not even big fps drops in more demanding scenes. I've been looking at both second hand market and new and I'm kind of stuck on which route to go. There is a RX 7900 XTX available for 7500sek, a bidding war on a RTX 4080 super that will probably end around 9500sek (a bit higher than I originally wanted to spend), the RX 9070 XT is retailing for around 7500-8500sek (depending on the deals) and then there is the option to just wait and see what will come out later on. Do you guys/girls have any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it? 🙂

What resolution/frame rate is your monitor? 7900XTX is going to give you quite a jump in performance (majority of games - 1440p at 144hz+, some games at 4K and high frame rates). But if you use/prefer ray tracing and/or DLSS, Nvidia will be a better bet.

I have a 1440p 360hz monitor so that's what I'm aiming for, and I actually prefer playing without ray tracing and dlss.
