Obscure YT issue

So, starting from today there's an issue with YT where videos won't run in YT "Subscriptions" or "Home" page when I click on the video preview window/image. 

But only if I have "Video previews will play when you hover over thumbnails" option off.

They do run when I click on the video title or right click and "open in new window".

When the video previews is on, everything works.

Tried removing all plugins from Chrome, but only thing that helps is that given video preview option.

I have the same issue as of today as well!

Firefox user here but yeah, thumbnail click to open/play fails and I have the same option toggled as you.

Forgot to add, clicking on the title text DOES open and play the video, but not the thumbnail.

Yeah, exactly same issue then.

 

Edit: OK, the issue is gone. So it was some global YT blunder probably.
