hello everyone i finally build my first custom pc. (it was so annoying being mini itx) but i love it. i have one issue when ever i try to play a intensive game like bf4 with my windowed side panel on my gpu hits 90+ degrees c. this seems wayyy to hot. any suggestions why this may be an issue.

I don't think your CPU cooler is seated properly.

Try reseating the CPU cooler making sure to tighten the screws down in a diagonal pattern.

Woops, sorry.

I though I read CPU.

Well the window is pretty restrictive for airflow to the gpu compared to the mesh sided panel.

If you're game enough, you could tape over the window, mark out some spots and drill it full of holes over the fans.

your card has an ACX cooler, which in your case, is bad. Add more fans, or better fans, or both to your case and try to improve your cooling setup.

The ACX cooler, exhausts warm air inside your case, if you do not move that air elsewhere (I.E. out of the case) then your GPU and other components will begin to heat up.

Cooling Front: 120mm x 2 (120mm x 1included) or 140/180/200/230mm x 1(optional)
Cooling Rear: 120mm x 1 (included) or 140mm x 1(optional)
Cooling Top: 120mm x 2 (optional)

You can replace the rear exhaust, with a 140mm fan to move more air, or a higher rpm 120mm. I would DEFINITELY add 2x120mm exhaust fans to the roof of your case. Then if you can afford it, I would add another 120mm intake fan to the front. This will insure that your GPU gets fresh, cool air, and the warm air is exhausted out of your case.

If that doesn't seem like something you would be interested in doing, then try to return the GPU, and purchase one with a reference design cooler. Which will exhaust the warm air out of the case

Try running with the panel off to compare temps.

If it's much more normal with the panel off then buy more fans/rearrange the fans. The front fan by default blows into the drive cage (I know, Bitfenix what is this sh*t??) and it might be of help to move it up so it's blowing into the CPU cooler instead.

The side panel is also very crappy because its ventilation holes are microscopic and few in number.

For those who are suggesting that the NVTTM cooler would fare much better raise a valid suggestion, but 90°C at load is not the case with the other Prodigy builds out there which leads me to believe that it's a problem with his case, fan setup or the card itself.

EDIT: Oh ok, I didn't see that. Your windowed panel is probably the culprit here; it's even worse than the pseudo-mesh panel. Probably put a high-airflow 200mm in the front and a fan or two on top might help.

ive got a 200mm it wont go abouve 500rpm

fan on front and 2 120mm on the top with my rad on the back. the from 200mm feels like its moving no air.   without the window on it runs at 45c bf3 ultra
