I was thinking about getting a amp for my Sennheiser HD8 DJ headphones but I can't decide.

I thought:

Schiit Magni

I want better sound the onboard sound can't drive the headphones well enough for my liking.

You probably shouldn't have bought DJ headphones then >.<

No amp is going to do what you want, you need new headphones.

 

Tbh, I don't even know what deeper more realistic sound would even sound like..  xD

 

 

Maybe an open headphone with a warmer signature... but IDK lol, it's all to subjective

I use a Topping D3. Very good for the money and one of the better looking ones in my opinion.

You guys are crazy. You know you guys are self-destructive. There's a funny farm somewhere and it's got your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' outta here.

Different DAC and/or amp do alter the sounds, but the differences are minuscule. You need a good headphone and good ears to be able to hear the differences. 

 

One thing for sure, getting a different DAC and/or amp won't magically transform your headphone to a better one, so if that's your expectation, save yourself from future disappointment, and upgrade your headphone instead.
