Hi Guys,

First post here on tech tips.

I just finished a new build and I'm not happy with the temps.

Specs:

NZXT H440 Stock Fans

4770k

16GB Ram

MSI Z97 Gaming 7

500GB Samsung Evo SSD

Asus DirectCU GTX780

EVGA 650w Power Supply

Corsair h100i

At idle the cpu temps are around 34-40. Even if I crank the fans up it sticks around there.

When gaming I see temps of 60ish.

I noticed the rear exhaust fan at one point wasn't spinning and the center of the fan was super hot. I flicked the fan and its been spinning since.

I'm thinking the fans are kinda crap so looking for suggestions for the 3 front NZXT fans and the rear exhaust.

My only conditions are they must be black or black/red (color scheme) and not super noisy.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Idle temps are pretty irrelevant. What are your load temps?

Here's my temps after 5 mins of 100% OCCT load and corsair link set to performance mode.

I know thats not real world but I just play a few hours of smite and max temps were in the 60ish realm.

60c is perfectly fine. I wouldn't worry unless the temps were peaking at 80-90c.

Although your temps are decent, it looks like you're unhappy with them. If price is no biggie I'd get 3 Noiseblocker BlackSilent Pro 120mm fans for the front intake. They perform as silent and good as Noctua's, are black and are static pressure optimized to push air well through the fan filters and harddrive cages of the H440.

They also have 140mm versions for the top and rear exhaust if you want to go full Noiseblockers. Here's a link http://www.blacknoise.com/en/products/it/10/Noiseblocker-NB_BlackSilent_Pro_120mm

those idle temps are hardly worrying, plus your load temps are still decent.

are your ambient temps really high?

you can get corsair fans if you're on a budget, otherwise noiseblockers?

edit: or bequiet fans
