Currently, I have a MBP, but I am going to sell it. I found myself not benefiting from the OS at all, so I'm going back to Windows.

My MBP included:

256GB SSD

16GB RAM

2.3GHz i7 Quad Core (3rd gen)

Nvidia GT650M

I realized I'm not using the machine to it's full potential. I don't do much gaming, although I might occasionally run Windows on Bootcamp and be able to play BF4 medium settings. Therefore, a discrete graphics card would be ideal. I would still like to keep the same power in terms of the processor. I love the power of the four cores plus its hyper-threading, so that is definitely required. In terms of RAM, 8GB should be more than enough. SSD is a plus, but as long as the hard drive is upgradable, I have no problem. Also, portability has a huge impact. I am a college student so I will have to be carrying it around with me back and forth. Anything below 5.5lbs will do the job.

Any suggestions are gladly appreciated.

what is the price range, I can get laptops like that between $1000 and $3000 (well, at $1000 they aren't as thin or powful, but still qualify)
