Budget:  about 600 euros(Can go a little beyond that)

Country: Germany

Only PC upgrade, no peripherals needed

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Gaming: CS2, GTA V, EFT (normal and Arena), Satisfactory, Forza 5, Assetto Corsa comp., ETS/ATS, Ready or Not, PUBG and many more.

Productivity: 3d CAD (Fusion, Inventor), programming(mainly VS code, microchip studio)

Monitor:

1: 1080p 240hz

2: 1080p 60hz

Upgrading from:

Dell Inspiron 5675

CPU: Intel i5-8400

RAM: 2x 8GB@2133 MT/s

          2x 16GB@3200 MT/s

GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

Storage:

Boot: M.2 Sata SSD 500GB

And some HDDs

My idea:

I want to keep the case (I know that this could cause problems, but that's not an issue).

Then I would remove the two 8GB RAM sticks

and upgrade the CPU, motherboard, and PSU.

I was thinking about an i7 14gen, although I have reservations because of the problems that CPUs bring.

I've already decided on the PSU and would go for a be quiet! Power Zone 2 750 W 80+ Platinum.

But I don't know what to choose for the motherboard and cooling, and whether the CPU is a good idea.

Over the course of the next year, I would then upgrade the GPU to an RTX 5070.

I would convert the old parts (CPU, RAM, motherboard, and PSU) into a small server.

Why I'm upgrading:

When I play games and try to do something in DC or my browser, my whole PC lags, and I just need more performance in games in general.

Does that make sense, or should I do something differently?

I see no problems there,

Ohh, you want to stay DDR4...

But why replace the psu ?

Whats the problem whit ddr4, when i go ddr5 its 200-300 Euro more?
The psu has only 290 watt (i thing) and the motherboard has proprietary connectors.

Also the be quiet! has the new gpu connector.

Only if it works well with 3d CAD thingy though, afaik amd is still iffy with some 3d / rendering softwares (which conveniently never gets tested in reviews either...)
