GPU choice, should I grab a 5070ti if it's $100nzd cheaper than the 9070xt, upgrading from a 4060ti 8gb , thoughts people paired with a intel i5 13600k, 64gb of ddr5 crucial ram, aio water cooled. Looking at 1440p gaming. With some slight 4k gaming, thoughts?

If the 5070 Ti is cheaper than the 9070 XT, definitely get the 5070 Ti.

Its faster overall ( By a small margin ) but much better at RayTracing and I personally do prefer DLSS over AMD's equivalent.

Its completely fine to pair it with a 13600k at 1440p/4k as this puts more load on the GPU compared to 1080p, its not an issue at all.

Here is a 18 game 1440p average.

18 game average at 4k is basically identical.

Here is a 6 game average at 1440p with raytracing and upscaling.

Also another slide that was quite funny.

DLSS 4 is pretty awesome for making 4k gaming reasonable on my 5070 so a 5070 Ti will crush that shit. It's a better gpu than the 9070 XT and the AMD card is popular mainly for being significantly cheaper than the 5070 Ti in the US while offering similar performance.

Absolutely! I have a similar GPU ( Overclocked RTX 4080 ) and its a joy to game with!  I play at 1440p with a 240hz display.
I dont feel like I need a new GPU any time soon.

Damn I'm jealous, I didn't want to leave NZ after hiking the Routetburn, in Arthur's Pass, and up on Fox Glacier when I was in your neck of the woods. Loved Te Anau, Wanaka, and Stewart Island too, such an amazing nation to visit. Got addicted to those chicken flavored chips with the penguin on the bag too lol, no one makes that shit in the states.

Even at the same price, I'd be going with 5070 TI if you even are remotely interested at Raytracing, upscaling  and/or  frame gen.

If only interested in raw performance, then it doesn't really matter  ( but might as well go for the 5070xt, better resale value I imagine )

Since for some crazy reason the 5070TI is cheaper than the 9070xt, I'd say go get the TI

AMD 5900x, 2x16GB ( G.skill F4-3600C16 ), Radeon VII, Radeon 570,  Corsair 1200i , SSD 240/500GB, HDD 640GB,1TB,5TB, 1TB NVME. Lian li 011Dyanmic XL, big ass LTT mouse-pad & stealth water bottle
