Upgraded gpu won't boot/ underperforming

I upgraded from gtx1070ti and got rx6800. After I put it in my pc failed memory tests with my oc ram and doesn't boot with any settings made to bios, fans spin and after 30s it just defaults the bios settings. Could it be that I had turned off my psu for a day and my cmos battery died? But shouldn't it notify me if its no longer working? I get half fps as I got before the upgrade. I can run any graphics settings 1080-4k and I get the same 60-90 fps. When before the upgrade I got 140 at 1080p. R5 3600 asrock ab350 pro4 5.80 bios version

It's not a CMOS issue,  it'll reset the time

Are you sure the 6800 is running x16 lanes?

Yes, but before I got 140fps with previuos gpu at 1080p. I think it could be that at default bios settings it runs at 2133 mhz ram

Apologies, I misread the post

What is your exact psu?

How are the temps on the rx6800 when gaming? Did any ray tracing auto enable itself in the settings? It will do that when swapping to a card that can do it when coming from one that couldnt in a lot of games

Corsair vs650 i have undervolted the gpu, ~60c while gaming, I tried gta v not enhanced at 1080p and 4k got the same 60-90 fps at ~maximum settings, I tried to play beamng drive but I got 40-50 fps which was terrible compared as to before ~80fps stable. No ray tracing in those games. But I am running it off 1 cable that splits into 2x8pin, but no crashes nothing. Wouldn't explain that it can't save any bios settings.

thats quite low end for the gpu. without the undervolt does it function normally?

I ran a furmark but only for 5 minutes I didn't have that much time yesterday. I played a bit with and without undervolt. At some point I will upgrade the psu.

yea that psu is is low grade. "d" tier if grey label. "e" tier if orange label.
id definitely do a psu upgrade. 750 will be just right for your system or get a bigger one for upgrading later on. and one that has 2 gpu rails instead of one rail.

and were you able to get your bios settings to set how you want yet?

There was a previous post where i mixed ram. 2x Corsair + 2x hyperx their specs are in the previous post. I got it working at 2800, now it doesn't work 2666 with same timings.  https://linustechtips.com/topic/1627215-mixed-ram-fix/#comment-16830504

yea reading the other post 4 sticks AND mixed ram. especially with ryzen 3000 series? not good bed fellows. ive only gotten 4 exactly the same sticks to sometimes work on 3 different 3600 systems. and still barely got it to do 3200. and it still sometime failed after a while.

best is 2 sticks till you upgrade to a 5000 series. 5000 series is much more friendly with 4 sticks. (mixed thou i dont know)
