I need some assistance setting up a new 5Gb Network. I need some help setting up a 5Gb NIC in Opnsense. It has 2 Ports and I want to assign the ports on the NIC so I get 5Gb on the wire. What would I do so both ports are active and one is WAN In and the other is LAN Out?

Here is the NIC I was considering:

If you have any suggestions that would be super helpful.

So I'm using an Intel X550-T2 (10G version). Both ports show up in OPNsense and you select one for WAN and one for LAN. In my case I was presented with ix0 and ix1 for my card.

I do recommend once you select / configure it, you make a label for the PC / case. For example Internet Bottom / Switch Top, etc. As once it's configured, if you need to pull the machine, odds are high you'll forget which way the cables go. I know I plugged the cables in wrong every time until I made the label.
