Hey guys, I need some help.

After updating to the latest AMD driver (25.11.1), all my games keep crashing with a “driver timeout” error. I even tried rolling back to the previous driver, but the issue still happens.

I’m getting these pop-ups from AMD Bug Report Tool and DirectX saying DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED or DEVICE_HUNG. Basically the GPU stops responding and the game closes.

My GPU is an RX 6750 XT,my psu is Cooler Master MWE Gold 650 80+ Gold -

Full Modular and this issue started only after the latest update. Before that, everything was running fine.

I’ve already tried:

  • Reinstalling drivers (including older version)
  • Cleaning with DDU
  • Reseating the GPU
  • Restarting PC
    Still no luck.

Anyone know what else I can try? Could it be a driver bug or something wrong with my GPU?

Thanks in advance.

I had same issue on my 7900XT when first getting it. Turned out to be the weirdest thing. After lots of time trying to solve it I found the cause.

In BIOS check if fast boot is enabled or disabled. In windows check if it's set the same as in BIOS. In windows its called fast startup. Personally I always disable this. In windows you find it in: Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings.

After restart the PC, then it should be good to go. If not reinstall the adrenalin.

After that restart the PC.

Edit: You might need to run DDU in safe mode (you'll get prompted on first launch of DDU). In DDU options make sure to toggle "prevent windows update from installing drivers."

Choose clean and restart.

After restart install adrenalin again. Some folk report issues after 25.9.2, so that may be the version to use.

Did you uninstall the Update? Or do a System Restore before this happened?
