It's common for Windows to stick at 40%. Just let it run for about 10 minutes, no it doesn't take that long, but it gives you time to walk away and get a cup of coffee. In most cases it starts working again without you needing to do anything.

it says install fails and then restarts the entire pc and makes me do a new install just to fail again

a few tips..

it sounds like your pc probably only have usb3 ports if it's brand new, but if you have a USB 2 port.. usually black or white. try using that instead of any of the USB3 ports

second, on the disk selection, try to load driver, you will have to download the disk controller drivers unpack and put them on the USB stick you have your windows install in a folder you can select and see if you get other drivers to select and install it with. Sometimes it fails since windows don't have controller drivers that works with new controllers.

try these first.

I don't know how to do that

first what mainboard do you have?

second. go to your mainboard vendor driver download page. you should find hard disk controller drivers there.. download those, unpack the files with 7zip or similar, and put the extracted files in a folder on your install USB, so you can access them during the install, and at disk selection it should say driver somwhere, klick it and navigate to the folder with the files you put on your install USB, there might be a check box for search all underlying folders, so check it if you see it, and press ok. if it finds compatible drivers it can load, select one and see if the drives in the selection changes, then mark the drive you want to install on and try to install.

The reason it can stop at 40%, can be it doesn't have compatible drivers for new chipsets to load the harddisk controller drivers and fails the install since it looses connection to the drive when it swap from winRM mode to full 64bit mode.

another is it don't have USB3 driver that supports the new chipset, hence look for USB2 ports on your mainboard. this can work in winRM, but fails and looses connection to the install drive when it swaps to 64bit windows mode without correct drivers.

after an install make sure to install the latest chipset drivers so windows can see and install all the other parts on your mainboard, without chipset drivers i often can't see more than a few of them, and you loose out on alot of functionality from the mainboard.

ok.. so both USB ports under your network port are USB2.. try to use those for the install.

It's an intel card, so look up asrock h610m/ac go to the support page, and download... there you should find: Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver and utility ver:19.5.5.1052 ... this is the harddiskcontroller drivers you will need to download and unpack, then put in a folder on your USB win11 install drive.

you should also download everything except norton.. windows comes with defender so paying for something you can get for free is a waste.
