Problem:

When i Connect my MacBook to my LG EVO G4 2024 via HDMI sometimes the TV Shows no Signal.

Sometimes it just works.

The MacBook also always detects the TV in the settings all monitors show up.

Setup:

MacBook ---> supra uhd8k 2.1 aoc active optical cable hdmi kabel ---> TV

I found some people with kind of the same problem but for them it always was the cable.

I dont think thats my problem probably since when it works it works flawless.

I would still try a different cable that is known to be good, since the LG EVO G4 is 4k, 144hz for gaming, and HDR too, i assume. It's a lot of data, so for me, the easiest to try is to change the cable, before troubleshooting anything else

I will try a different one. Its just that it its not like it doesnt work at all.

It works perfectly 4k 144hz HDR. Just the waiting times sometimes. (10sec to 10min)

Thank you.

That's the wonder and the curse of digital signalling. Unlike analog signals (think OLD school antenna TV) where you can display some of the garbled signal and the interference just comes through as static, a digital signal is either intelligible, and thus displayed, or unintelligible and thus is discarded entirely
