Budget (including currency): $1500 USD

Country: United States of America

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Games like Psychonauts 2, the Doom reboot trilogy (2016, Eternal, The Dark Ages) Minecraft (Whenever that new lighting mode comes out) Path of Exile II, Monster Hunter Wilds, OBS, Various Emulators.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Looking to run games at Max Settings 4k at 240 fps (although i know not every game is capable of that) my reason for upgrading is because my old build is on AM4, an older Platform that is on it's deathbed.

Since you want to play at 4k I would highly recommend putting most of your budget in the GPU.

Something like this perhaps, the 9070 XT is almost twice as fast as the 9060 XT.

4k 240 fps is tough to reach in most modern games... I have a 1440p 240hz monitor and I feel that my RTX 4080 is barely enough.

Not sure what you mean by deathbed.  I think you're using the wrong word.  Deadend maybe?

AM4 is extremely stout still, the X3D chips from that line are still very good gaming chips.

4K 240 though...  why?

Deathbed is the bed where you die, it's used in French and maybe other languages to say smt or someone is about to die

 Whatever, I agree with @Hinjima -sama as usual 🙂 , better have a 9070XT and 9600X than 9060XT and 7800X3D for hi-res gaming

Right, deathbed here is that same bed but when you're on it it means you're ACTIVELY dying.  His AM4 system isn't dying.  It's working just fine but there isn't a real upgrade path.  Hence dead end.

My system is on its deathbed means it has problems and the drive is making grinding noises and my PSU is smoking :0

That Kingston NV3 is terrible value compared to anything else

If you're playing 4K, AM4 is perfectly fine for years to come. I'd dump that entire budget into getting a 4090, assuming your current PSU can power it
Also, that Montech 850W is a C tier PSU, is that the one you have?
