Budget (including currency): $300 - 420

Country: United States

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):

Currently has a Ryzen 9 5950x which they won in a raffle with a motherboard and 32GB of RAM a year ago.

They are still using their old graphics card RTX 2060 Super. Battefield 6 ran terrible so they are asking me for an upgrade.

Based on what I read online it's pretty brutal for most graphic cards and I don't feel confident telling them that a 4060 TI will be a lot better but it won't feel like $300ish worth. Any ideas?

Black Friday is a bit over a month away.  If they are able to wait until then, they might be able to pick up a better GPU at a sale.

Quiet the quandary! Kick ass system with a 2060.....

To start with, a 4060TI will be a noticeable improvement on a 2060S BUT the 5950X will be severely bottlenecked as it will be screaming out for 5090!

What's the used market like in your region? I'd hit that and try and max the budget.

About 5-10% worse in BF6 with only FSR3 from what I saw... hope they add FSR4 at release.

Normally BF6 favors Nvidia such as the 5070 Ti vs the 9070 XT where there is a significant difference in favor of the 5070 Ti.

That's because 5070Ti is faster than 9070 XT in raster anyway.

9060 XT has more ROPS than 5060Ti, which could matter in some games. Despite 5060Ti having more TMUS and GDDR7 memory.
