I am wanting to leave a couple screwdrivers in a tool box and a couple bags and was wondering what temps they have been stored in. Mine would between around -35F and 140F. Just wondering if those temps would be an issue for the plastics long term storage?

Where the heck are you storing them at? Mars? -38C to 60C is quite difference.

My science-based assumption is same as with any other mechanical thing. As long as they are stored dry and you let them warm up or cool down slowly they should be fine. I think any clues and oils used are the biggest problem.

Could be much of Canada. In Saskatchewan those are all temps that I would see in my car in a year. Not unusual to have a screwdriver in a trunk of glovebox.

I wouldn't specifically recommend it but I think moisture / humidity is your greater enemy in this context. Seen a few examples in the wild of corrosion due to improper storage in wet conditions but nothing related to temperature. To be clear though, I'm not guaranteeing a good outcome here. Don't have enough data to draw on.

Best practice, store it indoors at room temperature, and keep it dry.

That just sounds like content potential to me! Labs has that environmental chamber, and you guys have your own fire truck so it should be relatively safe to let a heavily supervised Linus play with a flamethrower... 🤔
