I already have 2 12tb Seagate ironwolf hard drives. I want it to be small form factor. Please help.

What do you want to do with your NAS?

 

Is it just data storage or do you want to run any services to serve your home / life?

 

How small do you see the SFF? NUC sized / ITX / uATX?

 

Do you have any hardware that can be repurposed for the NAS such as an old PC? You'd be surprised what old hardware can still run a few NAS / Server services well.

This is so true. I have a 12 year old thinkserver running my backup nas and it's still rock solid

I am thinking ITX. I do not have any old hardware to use. I want to do data storage, but if possible, be able to run a Linux server through virtualization in trueNAS.
