I have this strange thing happening when I turn on my computer.

The first time I turn it on i get a Watchdog_error or something along those lines.

But then the strange thing is that when I turn it on for the second time it does not do it!

Very strange, there is also something else that happens,

i try to install the sims 3, and at the very end of the installation process my computer crashes and comes up with a blue screen saying REGISTRY_ERROR. Any clues as to why this happens?

PC Specs:

Motherboard - MSI Z87 G45

Processor - i7 4790 - cooled by H100i

Ram - Kingston Hyper X 16 GB

WIFI - Some D-Link card

GPU - GTX 780 Windforce x3

2 HDD's and 1 SSD

Case - NZXT H440

Thanks,

Loachey

By the sounds of "registry error" it sounds to be corruped files in windows
Open a command prompt with elevated priviliges(administartor) then type
sfc /scannow
this will do a small scan to look for corrupted files in windows this could solve the issue
or you have a driver clash such as running 2 or more drivers for the same item like 2 LAN drivers

Try updating the firmware for all components and the drivers, if no joy try the "action centre" this may well tell you what is going wrong and give you steps to correct this,, if still no joy seems a component needs replaced.  To know which one will require further trouble shooting, but I am dubious of that working over the net, may be time to let a "repair shop" look at it.

That error means that internal CPU timer at primary cpu core 0 or one of the cache banks has failed. Your best luck is to update your Motherboard and CPU drivers and restore any modified BIOS settings if you did any, if that doesn't work, you must change your CPU and/or motherboard!

why would you suggest a replacement part before a re install of windows. if all else fails, BEFORE YOU BUY A NEW PART, re install windows.

and a repair shop is going to charge you at least an hour and a half of labour to re install windows, so save yourself money and do it yourself.

I didn't .

On re-reading that is not a distinct step, Mea culpa that I didn't lay that out as one.

But I would assume (shouldn't assume people are not in your head) that part of the action centre steps would be try a re-install.

poor wording. it happens. but yeah, re install and if that doesnt work then MAYBE it will be a hardware issue.
