Stackable tool storage (with sack barrow like wheels)

Hey all I'm looking for a better solution for all my power tools other than 'under the desk in their cases'. I've seen the Stanley FATmax like stackable trolley system and was wondering if anyone had any experience with it or a similar system?  I'm hoping to get something 'modular' so I can add boxes and trays over time. But I'd like to be able to break it all down and store it under my desk when it's not in use

With all the Trolls, Try Hards, Noobs and Weirdos around here you'd think i'd find SOMEWHERE to fit in!

The Milwaukee tax is real, but the Packout system is maybe the most popular among trades, at least from what I've seen? There's a ton of other modular tool/part box systems though. Check out your local hardware store and see what fits your tools and your budget. They all do the same thing, but brand loyalty is an absurdly big deal for some reason. Milwaukee in particular, loves to paint ANYTHING red, throw the logo on it, and just let people throw money at them. If you're not hauling your tools in and out of jobsites every day, durability is gonna be basically the same. Plastic thing holds other plastic things.

Pegboard and hangers is a tried and true garage solution for tool storage, you need wall space for it though. Guy I used to work got 'dummy batteries' for his Dewalt tools and had a lanyard and clip and he could hang them anywhere in the van which was really convenient. There's generic ones all over ebay and Amazon for whatever brand tools you have.

EXACTLY. lollolol. Except at least with Milwaukee folks they actually own and use the flagship/workhorse (no pun intended 🙃) products, not just merchandise. To be transparent, I have Milwaukee tools because my first impact/hammerdrill set I got was Milwaukee. Once you're 'in' a system there's no point going outside of that unless you're a glutton for charger/battery chaos. Anything that doesn't run off a battery though, doesn't matter wtf brand it is.

Honestly, 350$ for a permanent heavy-duty mobile solution for power tools and shit in a workshop is a fair++ price. Quality, security, convenience. A hundred each is fair at this level.
"Plastic thing holds other plastic things." - Some plastics are worse than others at heavy storage.

Does the solution need to be portable? Those modular systems are great if you're in the trades and going to a different job site every week, but they're excessive and pricey for stationary storage in a home workshop. $300 buys a ton of plastic totes and milk crates.

(Then again I'm building wood cabinets and a hutch with and for my collection of Ryobi tools, so what do I know. 🙃 )

I sold my soul for ProSupport.

The idea is that it's portable.  I seen the FATmax stuff the bottom box on it can have wheels added and you can manoeuvre it around like a sackbarrow.  Cost isn't really an issue.  the idea it to add to it over time.  So I keep chargers and batts in the 'wheel' part cause I'll always need them and then separate boxes for the tools, like wood working tools in one, metal working tools in another, and then depending on what job I'm going to I just add those specific boxes to the stack
