I'm curious if people have any information on the channels on Floatplane that are pretty much zombie channels. Still listed in the "Browse Creators" section, but haven't posted in years. I'm not talking about the channels that only post rarely to begin with or only use Floatplane for their non-public videos. Some of the channels I'm referring to don't seem like they should still be visable in the "Browse Creators" menu and should be hidden like UFD Tech is. (You can still buy a subscription to UFD Tech, but you have to manually navigate to the page as it isn't listed in the "Browse Creators" screen and they have a post saying that they are leaving Floatplane. I would say that it's surprising that you can still subscribe to UFD Tech on there at all, but was nice for me to do a month in order to get high quality backups of the archive that exists on there)
Badseed Tech - last video posted December 3, 2020 - No obvious post on Floatplane or Youtube as to why they stopped uploading to Floatplane. If you don't look at the last post dates and only read the "About" and the "Plans" you would think that it is still active.
ToastyBros - last video posted July 30, 2021 - No obvious post on Floatplane or Youtube as to why they stopped uploading to Floatplane, but they were still linking Floatplane in their YouTube video descriptions like a year ago.
BitWit was uploading consistently until 2 years ago, then stopped until 6 months ago, and still nothing after that.

I feel like Badseed Tech and ToastyBros should likely be hidden from the "Browse Creators" list.
Not looking for any hate to anybody or to Floatplane, just looking to have my curiosity satisfied, both from the Floatplane perspective as well as from the creators' perspectives if anybody has some concrete info.

some channels on Floatplane feel like they’ve been abandoned for years but are still listed. My guess is that it’s up to the creators themselves to hide remove their pages, and if they don’t, Floatplane just leaves them visible. Would be nice if inactive ones were archived or flagged though, so people don’t think they’re still active.

Yeah something I could see as a good thing to be done (might be already happening, but we just wouldn't know) is to have Floatplane Support contact the creators after like a year of no posts and offer those sorts of changes. Something like "Hey, we noticed you haven't posted on Floatplane in a while, but are still posting on other platforms. Anything we can do to get you back to posting normally? If you want to leave the platform, we understand and have options to hide your channel, ect."
If they don't respond within a month or two then you just hide it and notify them and possibly the active subscribers.
I'm just hoping that somebody has some actual concrete info from all perspectives.
