1. What's the full spec.

2. Did you try to turn it on at your friend's place ?

What is the new PSU? Most PSU's with RGB are not very good, as they use this as their sales pitch.

Did you reuse any of the old power supply cables in the build with the new power supply?

no i did not try at my friend's house because i have seen him play on it before so I didn't ask many questions. The computer itself is a cyber power 8 gigs of ram,

NVidia GeForce gtx 4030 it's an older pc with no SSD that's about all I know about the pc.

I was afraid of that.  Apevia is actually one of the worst power supply brands on the market and their PSU's are pure junk.

I would not use one to power my toaster if I was given one for free.. They are a great idea if you like house fires though!

If possible, return that thing asap and buy a decent PSU like a MSI A650BN.

You can see here on the PSU Tierlist that Apevia basically only has one low end PSU in the C:Tier, the rest is E-waste E or F:Tier.

I bought it from him 3 months ago when he bought his new pc, he was using it then he said that the power supply was going to go out but didn't know how long it still had before it went out. I got maybe a month out of it, and it went out I finally able to save a few bucks and bought the new one.

I see.
So the PC turned on for you before, using the old PSU, for a month, then the PSU conked out, yeah?
That's an important piece of info you left out in your original post. lol

How did it conk out ? like, the process. Pop sound? Magic smoke? Just can't turn on PC one day?, etc

yea I went to turn it on and nothing i checked all the plugs and everything was plugged in right but there was no power going to it i checked the outlet to make sure that wasn't the issue, and it was fine and i check the surge protector and it was also fine. so, I bought the new one got it all hooked up i made sure that i have everything hooked up to where it needs to be and no power from that one either.
