Im planning to build my own gaming PC,

This are the parts i picked:

  • Corsair 3500x mid tower (white) case
  • ASUS Z890 AYW GAMING WIFI W (White) MOBO
  • Intel Intel Core Ultra 7 265F
  • DDR5 Kingston model Fury Beast 32GB 16x2
  • 2 TB SSD XPG GAMMIX S70
  • GeForce RTX 5060 TRIO OC 8GB (White)
  • CORSAIR Nautilus 360 RS (White) AIO
  • Corsair iCUE Link RX120 RGB
  • Corsair RM850E PSU

My question is that, my GPU has an 8 pin 6+2 power connector, and I really want to add some RGB cables for the 24 pin and GPU, and unfortunately since im on a third world country the only reliable option i have are the Lian Li Strimer V2, my questions is the Lian li cable extensions even compatible with my GPU and PSU? and if so how can i set the up or tell me im unfortunately gonna have to skip on the RGB cables. BTW, also let me know if theres any recommendations abouts the parts i picked. Thank you :3

Yes but if you can avoid extensions do so. Ive mostly just had poor luck with them as they cause instability often even the well made ones sadly. The added resistance of extra wire + connectors can cause enough changes in power delivered.

Lots of times its been fine but ive had it often enough to know it can be a common enough issue.

If you do do it and the system gets unstable know that thats  a likely reason.

Aside from that this system is unbalanced.

Lots of money spent on looks, a fast cpu, expensive board, very pricey fans, pricey aio compared to others and then to only have a rtx 5060 which is quite a potato of a gpu would be a shame.

Id respec the system to try and get a amd rx9700(xt) gpu or rtx 5070(ti) at least and then fit what you can in budget.

Hows amd there price wise usually a r7 9700 or even r7 7700 cpu is quite cheap, then a budget b650/b850 board and well a budget good thermalright cooler should save ya a couple hundred usd (no idea where you are buykng or currency so uf ya can provide more info would be very helpfull)

Oh and AVOID ICUE AT ALL COSTS IT IS A MISERABLE PIECE OF SOFTWARE!!!! I have built so many icue based rgb barf systems (including waterlooped ones) and almost all of em had massive icue issues randomly as its such a bad piece of software.
