What will happen if I go over the data usage on Cox?

Redhawkcrazed

I've been recently going over the data usage on my Cox communcations isp. Last cycle I went over by 150 gb (my cap is 300) and so far only 7 days into my cycle I've already used up half of my cap. I have the premier plus package. I heard that If you call Cox and threaten them with cancelation that they'll let it be, but this information is about two years old. I was wondering if anyone here has had experience with what they do if you go over your data usage. Thanks for any help.

They will 99% of the time charge you BIG time for going over data caps (I mean $$ of course)

You can try to threaten but you are probably going to end up having to pay more for more data

Hope I could help!

They are probably going to charge you a hefty overage fee.

Thank the internet gods that my ISP doesn't have a data cap...for now at least. I don't know what I'd do if I had a cap.

so Cox has a 300 GB cap?  I remember when Comcast used to have a 250gb cap and it used to drive me crazy but fortunately now unless something changes is unlimited.  Not only no cap but just recently they bumped my internet speed from 50mbs to 120 for free.

I thought Cox didn't have a cap.  I asked that very question to the cable guy when he was installing for my cousin and he told me that they didn't have one.....was he lying?
