Dead Space

Go to solution Solved by mariushm,

Dead Space the original is 8$ at GOG.com : https://www.gog.com/en/game/dead_space

Dead Space 2 is $20 on Steam ... buy it some other time when it's on a sale.  Dead Space 3 is not as good, you can wait for that.

It should play fine on Windows 11.

Hi

I am planing to purchase the dead space trilogy. I found it on steam but I am not sure if they work properly on windows 11. I have 2 questions, are they available in other online stores? Do you think they will work with my modern system?

Thnx

EA is the publisher, so obviously you can get it from the EA Store.
Besides that and Steam, the Epic Games Store has Dead Space 1, 2, 3, and the remake available.

Also... DS3 is fine.
It has the best upgrade/crafting mechanics and overall gameplay.
Sure, it's more action-oriented than 1 and 2, but I didn’t feel like that took away much from the horror aspect.
Plus, it has pretty good co-op.

The bad part about DS3 is the DLC Awakened...
It’s less than two hours long, costs as much as the base game ($2.50 on sale),
and without it, you don’t get a proper ending!
The DLC ending isn’t great, but it definitely beats the cliffhanger you’re left with if you finish DS3 without it.

P.S.
Dead Space 1 is old... and it shows.
Consider getting the 2023 remake, it's pretty good.

Thanx, I will get the DS 1 remake from the epic game store...

Both the original releases of DS1 and 2 had issues running at 60fps on PC. You might need to tweak VSync settings or you'll get very strange behaviour.

The remake of DS1 is just fine.

Don't discount DS3. Just don't play all 3 back to back.

Play 1 and 2 then leave it a while before playing 3. I went back and gave DS3 another chance and absolutely loved it. Its just a bit different.
