Hi everyone, I fricked up. I was trying to overclock my ram when everything just shut off(When I clicked save and Exit) , my PC didn't post after that.

I have tried  changing ram slots and resetting cmos, I also tried bios flashing but no luck.

Pc Specs:

Ryzen 5 5600g

Rtx 3060ti

16gb corsair 3200mhz ram

1 tb samsung ssd

Gigagyte Aorus B550i Pro AX  (rev 1.1) motherboard

PowerSupply: EVGA SuperNOVA 550 GM ECO Mode with DBB Fan 123-GM-0550-Y1

Now Exactly whats happening.

1. Everything connected

        - I turn on the power switch of the power supply everything turns on, mobo lights turn on (2 blue static lights under the 24pin connector), AIO starts running (water flow and fans work, but without the RBG). PSU fan doesnt spin.

        - nothing happes no post on screen. and I tried fios Q-flash, that is not working as well.

2. Only Mobo, 24 pin connector and 8pin cpu connector + Bios USB

       - Turn on the power switch same two lights on mobo, and nothing else.

       - after pressing the Qflash button for 5 sec, no lights or anything changed.

Here is a video of whats happening in step 1

What's the rest of your hardware, specifically CPU, RAM and which specific settings did you change and how? Sounds like something got damaged.

Its an evga 550W fully modular.

Specific model? There are multiple PSUs that could fit that description. Some have a zero RPM mode, where the fan doesn't spin as long as the load is low enough. So that could just be normal.

Remember to either quote or @mention others, so they are notified of your reply

I just looked it up, yes it is the one that doesn't spin until 30% usage

It could be stuck in memory training, especially after an overly aggressive RAM overclock. Try leaving the system powered on for 5–10 minutes with just one stick in slot A2 > sometimes it takes a while to recover. If that doesn’t work:

Do a hard CMOS reset:
unplug the PSU, remove the CMOS battery, hold the power button for 30 seconds, wait 10+ minutes, then try booting again > Memory training with a black screen may require a shutdown/reset before trying again.

or

Try booting with no RAM (you should get error beeps if a speaker is available - plug one in - or LED indicators might show activity).

Since you said Q-Flash Plus doesn't start (no blinking light), then double-check:
USB stick is FAT32, ≤32GB, and empty except for the BIOS file.
BIOS file is correctly renamed to GIGABYTE.BIN (not .bin.bin etc).
Plugged into the white USB port (Q-Flash port).
Power supply is ON, but do not press the case power button.
Press and hold the Q-Flash Plus button for 5-10 seconds > a blinking light should start.

If a particular comment or answer solved your problem, please mark it as the solution. If you found something helpful or useful, consider giving it a like as well, it helps others too. 😉

Okay I will be trying all of these and will get back to the post if these troubleshooting worked ot not.

Additinally the AIO starting without pressing the power button on case, is it something to worry about? or should I try all this even if that keeps on happening

The motherboard receives standby power (5V) as soon as the PSU switch is turned on. Some AIOs and fans spin up as soon as 5V is active, even if the system isn't fully powered on.

Hola!

I have gigabyte B550 as well. Do this. Turn off PSU. Remove ram and reinsert. Turn on PSU. Take a screwdriver and short the two pins on CLR_CMOS:

Turn on PC and wait for it to load BIOS, will restart at least one time before showing splash screen. If Nothing happens. Then try using Q flash plus again to reflash the bios. Use the guide below:

Thanks fr the help guys,

I tried:

1. turned on the pc (basically turning on the psu) and left it like that for 30 mins.

2. tried the CMOS shorting again, no luck.

3. Trying the Qflash.

But My concern/guess at the moment is, the system is fully turning on without pressing the power button, even the GPU is running, without ouching the power button.

Is there any way i can fix this, before trying the other methods.

Additinally something else that i noticed,  sometimes* one or 2 rgb, turn on On my aio
